In 1977, John Morgan and Jack Lovell pooled £1,000 of their savings to set up an office design company in Soho. Word spread of their creativity and innovative approaches – and by 1981, they’d achieved a turnover of £4m. In 1994, they acquired William Sindall, formed the Morgan Sindall Group and listed on the London Stock Exchange.
