Peter Pichler Architecture conceives Berghütte Stöckerkopf, a new mountain hut concept to host a restaurant and hospitality facilities in Baiersbronn, Germany.
Berghütte Stöckerkopf is a new hospitality getaway concept that prioritizes high-end design and immersive access to the landscape. Situated in the German wilderness of the Black Forest, this is a mountain hut designed with nature and contemplation in mind.
Inspired by the nearby building typology and the awareness of the natural precious heritage, PPA creates an open mountain hut reinterpreted to blend in with the natural landmark and its cultural context.
The hut is clad with black wooden shingles whereas the interior with light local wood creating a nice contrast. In addition, a truss is placed to support the upper floor, but also to refer to the local building culture.
