Jetty -
North East England based environmental artist Steve Messam evokes site-specific installations that reimagine the everyday, interrupting historical landscapes and vacant architecture to help us perceive the familiar environment in a new way. During the exhibition's artist residency program, Messam conceived a new site-specific installation, presented on the rocks by the shore in dialogue with the surrounding architecture. The installation carries the dusky pink color which blends with the pastel colors of the Aegean and the dusky colors of landscape. For the production of each piece, the artist collaborated with a local tailor based in Bodrum.
