项目位于浙江省杭州市富阳区北部皇天畈流域内,占地约290公顷。历史上的阳陂湖在唐朝贞观年间初步形成，上世纪八十年代，被改为农田和鱼塘养殖一直沿用至今，导致现状水体污染较重、水系形态单一，已无明显湖体形态。本项目意在恢复古湿地、呈现历史、修复生态，再现古阳陂湖碧波粼粼的美景。

The project is situated within the Huangtianfan Watershed in the northern region of Fuyang District, Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province, covering approximately 290 hectares of land. Historically, Yangbei Lake was initially formed during the Zhenguan period of the Tang Dynasty. In the 1980s, it was transformed into farmland and fish pond aquaculture, which has been in use to this day, resulting in the current water body being heavily polluted and the water system being singular, with no distinct lake form. The primary aim of this project is to revive the ancient wetland, showcase its historical significance, restore ecological balance, and recreate the shimmering beauty of the historic Yangbei Lake.

设计团队以保护、修复、最小干预为理念，打造集文化展示、生态修复、科研科普、城市休闲等一体的生态湿地。项目整体形成一湖七园的整体布局，一湖为阳陂古湖，七园为清涟园、荷风园、蒹葭园、鱼趣园、花漫园、稻香园、一岭花，营造“阳湖隐富春、返璞归稻渚”的千年古湿地景观。

Guided by the principles of conservation, restoration, and minimal intervention, the design team has created an ecological wetland that integrates cultural exhibition, ecological restoration, scientific research and education, as well as urban leisure activities. The project features an overall layout comprising “One Lake and Seven Gardens”. The lake, known as the ancient Yangbei Lake, while the seven gardens include the Clear Ripple Garden, Lotus Breeze Garden, Reed Marsh Garden, Fish Fun Garden, Blooming Flower Garden, Rice Aroma Garden, and the Single-ridge Flower Garden. This design aims to create a millennia-old wetland landscape that embodies the vision of “Yangbei Lake concealing the riches of Fuchun, returning to simplicity amidst the rice paddies,” showcasing a harmonious blend of nature and culture.

生态 · 阳陂湖——自然野趣的生态湿地
Ecological Yangbei Lake – A Natural Wild and Ecological Wetland

通过富春江引水保障水源，运用水动力模拟计算、人工湿地、沉水植物、边岸湿地和海绵理念等措施，恢复湿地对水体的自循环和自净能力，营建多样化水陆动植物栖息地、生境，维持湿地生态系统平衡,防御未来生态环境的恶化。将“活水”、“净水”反哺富阳城市河网，皇天畈区域内水面率从2%提高到5%，提升和保障了富阳城北区域的水安全，增加了富阳城区防洪调蓄的能力，改善了区域水质，目前阳陂湖的水质已经从V类提升至Ⅲ类水标准以上，局部达到Ⅱ类水标准。

By diverting water from the Fuchun River to ensure a water supply, the project employs measures such as hydrodynamic simulation calculations, artificial wetlands, submerged plants, riparian wetlands, and the sponge city concept to restore the wetland’s self-circulation and self-purification capabilities. This endeavor aims to create a diverse habitat and environment for aquatic and terrestrial flora and fauna, maintaining the ecological balance of the wetland and defending against future environmental degradation. The “living water” and “clean water” are then fed back into the urban river network of Fuyang, increasing the water surface area within the Huangtianfan region from 2% to 5%. This enhancement not only improves and ensures the water security of the northern area of Fuyang City but also increases the city’s flood control and water regulation capacity. The regional water quality has been improved, with the water quality of Yangbei Lake now upgraded from Grade Ⅴ to above Grade Ⅲ standards, with some areas even reaching Grade Ⅱ standards.

Secluded·Yangbei Lake – A Return to the Idyllic Country Life

尊重场地现状、采用破埂、疏通、回填等最小干预的手段，形成湖面特色景观；采用一体化装配式建筑延续和保护农耕田园肌理特征；选用乌桕、水杉、朴树等乡土植物，共同营造田园质朴的古湿地自然景观。同时将桥梁、建筑、景观设施等深度融入到整体环境中，共同营造田园质朴的湿地风貌，实现人与自然和谐共处。优良的水质和环境，吸引了大量野生鸟类驻扎，红头潜鸭、须浮鸥等濒危及国家二级保护珍稀鸟类陆续现身阳陂湖，现有鸟类约80余种，已然成为“鱼鸟天堂”。

Respecting the current site conditions, minimal intervention methods such as breaking ridges, dredging, and backfilling were employed to create unique lake landscapes. We use integrated prefabricated construction to continue and protect the texture characteristics of the agricultural fields. Native plants like sapium sebiferum, metasequoia, and hackberry were selected to collectively create a rustic and natural ancient wetland landscape. At the same time, bridges, buildings, and landscape facilities were deeply integrated into the overall environment, contributing to a rustic wetland style that fosters harmonious coexistence between humans and nature. The excellent water quality and environment have attracted a large number of wild birds to settle in, including endangered species and nationally protected birds such as the red-crested pochard and black-headed gull. Currently, over 80 species of birds reside in Yangbeihu, making it a true “paradise for fish and birds.”

Cultural·Yangbei Lake – A Diverse and Integrated Cultural Stage

恢复古湿地，复原阳陂湖主湖，利用现有鱼塘恢复具有千年历史的阳陂湖湖景。依托水稻研究所农业科研基地增加了“稻作文化”主题，以最小干预为原则，保留农田，增设平台栈道、科普体验，作为农耕体验的核心区块，增强农田景观，体验趣味性。渔文化体验区，保留现状鱼塘肌理，结合平台、栈道等增加亲水性。整个湖区投放了几十万尾鱼苗，有效改善和优化了水域水生生物资源结构，定期举办捕鱼活动，更增加了互动感和体验感。

Restoring the ancient wetland and reviving the main body of Yangbei Lake, we utilize the existing fish ponds to revive the lake landscape that has a history of a thousand years. Building upon the agricultural research base of the Rice Research Institute, a “Rice Culture” theme has been incorporated, adhering to the principle of minimal intervention. Farmlands are preserved, while platforms, boardwalks, and educational experiences are added, serving as the core area for farming experiences. This enhances the farmland landscape and makes the experience more enjoyable. In the Fishery Culture Experience Zone, the existing texture of fish ponds is preserved, and hydrophilicity is enhanced through the addition of platforms, boardwalks, and other facilities. Tens of thousands of fish fry have been released into the entire lake area, effectively improving and optimizing the aquatic biological resource structure. Regular fishing activities are organized, further enhancing the interactivity and experience for visitors.

Vibrant·Yangbei Lake – A Leisure Space Full of Vitality and Fun

根据场地特点，结合“一湖七园”的景观格局，营造不同主题风貌特色的绿色休闲活动空间。构建农田、滨湖、湿地等多样风貌的慢行系统，依托水域空间，布局水上游览体系，织链水陆立体的游览体系网络。

Considering the characteristics of the site and integrating the “One Lake and Seven Gardens” landscape pattern, we aim to create various green recreational spaces with distinct thematic features. A diverse network of slow-moving paths will be established, showcasing various landscapes such as farmland, lakeshores, and wetlands. Relying on the water space, an aquatic sightseeing system will be designed, interweaving a three-dimensional network of water and land-based tourist routes.

Social Significance

阳陂湖，一个原本逐渐消失在历史长河中的传说，随着“两山”理论转化和生态文明的推进被再次挖掘治理，千年湖景重获新生。建成后的阳陂湖是目前杭州第二个集城市湿地、农耕湿地、文化湿地于一体的省级湿地公园，具有”富阳之肾”和”副西溪”美誉，为高品质城市发展增添动能，是提升碳汇能力保护和可持续利用的典范，现代版《富春山居图》锦绣实景的一部分，得到国内主流媒体大力宣传和当地百姓的广泛赞誉，成功入选2024年度浙江省生物多样性保护优秀案例。

Yangbei Lake, a legend that was gradually fading into history, has been rediscovered and revitalized with the transformation of the “Two Mountains” theory and the advancement of ecological civilization. The once-legendary lake has been reborn, and the newly constructed Yangbei Lake is now the second provincial-level wetland park in Hangzhou that integrates urban, agricultural, and cultural wetlands. Known as the “Kidney of Fuyang” and “Deputy Xixi Wetland,” it adds momentum to the high-quality urban development and serves as a model for enhancing carbon sequestration capacity and sustainable utilization. It is part of the splendid real-life scene of the modern version of “Dwelling in the Fuchun Mountains,” widely promoted by domestic mainstream media and highly praised by the local people. It has successfully been selected as an outstanding case of biodiversity conservation in Zhejiang Province for 2024.
