自2011年由伊兹密尔大都会市未来项目部城市设计和城市美学分局"沿海设计"团队构思以来，"İzmirDeniz"项目一直在建设中，AlaybeyGarden是一个空间干预设计，该方案概念由Studio EvrenBasbug提出。空间毗邻Karsiyaka的地标建筑：阿塔图尔克纪念馆及其周围的开放区域，得益于其位于海岸线的特殊位置，该地成为了Karsiyaka的接待区。

Within the scope of the 'İzmirDeniz' project,which has been ongoing since its conception in 2011 by the ‘Coastal Design’team under the Urban Design and Urban Aesthetics Branch Directorate of theFuture Projects Department of the İzmir Metropolitan Municipality, AlaybeyGarden, is a spatial intervention proposal whose concept was developed byStudio Evren Başbuğ. Neighboring the symbol of Karşıyaka, the Atatürk Memorialand the open area surrounding it, this new public space is at a special pointthat is considered the reception area of Karşıyaka due to its location alongthe coastline.

空间干预在约1400平方米的有限场地上进行，场地被认为是在阿拉贝海军造船厂和Karşıyaka轮渡港之间约1公里长的海岸线设计范围内的一个特殊中心。

The intervention, which was executed on arelatively limited ground area of approximately 1.400 m2, is considered to bea special focal point within the scope of the approximately 1 km long coastlinedesign between Alaybey Naval Shipyard and Karşıyaka Ferry Port.

该场地目前被用作停车场，已被沿海剖面提供的三角形几何形状抬高，在西南方向上形成人造斜坡，朝向纪念馆和海湾景观。随着上升的方向，土壤由两个融合在一起的巨大挡土墙支撑。

The site, which is currently used as a car park,has been raised in a triangular geometry offered by the coastal profile,creating an artificial slope in the south-west direction, toward the memorialand bay view. Along the rising corner, the soil is supported by two monumentalretaining walls that merge together.

为了创造一个平衡的开放空间环境，斜坡表面以一定的几何顺序用草和天然木材覆盖。Alaybey花园拥有专门设计的预制混凝土座椅单元和斜坡上种植的蜂蜜槐树，旨在创造一种新的，热情的日常公共空间体验，强调纪念馆周围的邻近开放空间作用，用以平衡纪念馆的纪念性特征和正式的氛围。

In order to create a balanced open spacesetting, grass and natural wood covered surfaces were used together in acertain geometric order along the surface of the slope. With the speciallydesigned precast concrete seating units and the planted honey locust trees onthe slope, Alaybey Garden has been designed to define a new and welcomingeveryday public space experience which supports and strengthens theneighbouring open space surrounding the memorial as well as balancing itsformal / monumental character with a contrasting atmosphere.
