When you have tried to turn into the gate of thepark from the crowded lanes, and the fresh, elegant and softwhite buildings suddenly jump into eyes, as if enteringanother time and space.

BACKROAD由一栋层高11米的老厂房和其附属的三幢小裙楼改造而来，设计中保留了老厂房的建筑主体，仅对小裙楼进行了加固翻新，从而形成当下简约现代的建筑。BACKROAD is transformed from an old factory building with aheight of 11 meters and three small surrounding buildings.The main building of the old factory is mostly retained, andonly the small podium buildings are reinforced andrenovated, thus forming the current simple and modernbuilding

BACKROAD原是杭州双鱼不锈钢厂旧址，老厂房挑空11米。设计中充分利用了层高优势及开阔的空间尺度，将其规划出错落不一的多个平台，通过不同造型的楼梯将立体空间融汇贯通、从而打造出3个不同维度的空间平台，在增加产品分类陈列的同时，使空间层次更加丰富，动线也变得生动有趣。BACKROAD used to be the site of Hangzhou Shuangyu StainlessSteel Factory with a height of 11 meters. The design makesfull use of the advantages of the height and the open spacescale, it is planned to be scattered multiple platformsthrough different shapes of stairs. Finally it has created 3different platforms of space, not only increasing thedisplay of all kinds of product, but also makes the spacelevel more varied and the moving line more lively andinteresting.

BACKROAD右侧是一幢不锈钢金属材质结合马赛克的小建筑，它原是园区的门卫传达室，现被改造为BACKROAD专属汉堡店。斑驳马赛克墙面保留自原建筑体；屋顶早已年久失修，借此翻新机会植入一个不锈钢金属盒子，增强了建筑体块的视觉张力和神秘感。室内在延续不锈钢当代硬朗的同时，又保留了传达室原本的红砖墙面，从而形成材质的中和与空间的平衡。On the right side of BACKROAD is a small building made ofstainless steel and metal combined with Mosaic. It used tobe a doorman’s delivery room in the past, but now it hasbeen transformed into an exclusive burger restaurant onBACKROAD. Mottled Mosaic wall retained from the originalbuilding; The roof, which had long fallen into disrepair,was renovated with inserting a stainless steel metal box toenhance the visual tension and mystery of the buildingvolume. While continuing the modern stainless steel, theinterior retains the original red brick wall of the deliveryroom, so as to form a balance between the material and thespace.

在曾经的车棚里享受阳光Enjoy sunshine under thebicycle sheds过往岁月中工人们停车的自行车棚，经过设计改造后成为了阳光灿烂的收银区。不锈钢搭配超白玻，配上海军椅，通透的阳光照射在台面上，度假的心情扑面而来。从张家港寻来的超大原木直径宽达1.4米，横亘在面前作为吧台使用，煞是夺目。The bicycle shed where workers used to park in the past hasbeen transformed into a sunny cash register area. Stainlesssteel with super white glass, with the navy chair,transparent sunlight on the table, the mood of the holiday.The oversized logs found in Zhangjiagang are 1.4 meters widein diameter and stand in front of the bar as an eye-catchingscene.

在户外品牌如火如荼遍地展开的时代，如何从激烈竞争中脱颖而出是BACKROAD一直在审慎思考的。BACKROAD充分利用1600平米的三层店铺空间，以户外用品售卖为主，同时兼顾餐吧与咖啡功能。In the era when outdoor brands are in full swing, BACKROADhas been thinking carefully about how to stand out from thefierce competition. BACKROAD makes full use of 1,600 squaremeters of three-floor store space, mainly selling outdoorproducts, while combining the functions of restaurant barand coffee.

一层主要售卖来自韩国的户外品牌“SaturdayMansion”，主打清新柔美风，在一片黑白灰绿为主色的户外界吹来一股清流，颜色靓丽，节奏明快，轻松愉悦的氛围呼之欲出，吸引了一大批女性用户，这也是BACKROAD寻求突破的一笔重墨。The first floor mainly sells the outdoor brand “SaturdayMansion” from South Korea, which is outstanding for itsfresh and soft style, just like a clear wind blows into themain color of current indoor market with neither black,white, gray or green. The bright color, lively rhythm andrelaxed and pleasant atmosphere have already attracted alarge number of female users, which is also a big ink thatBACKROAD seeks to break through.

二层以户外服装和helinox为主，三层小空间则以茶歇为主，每一层空间都与户外露台相通，让人随时随地可以自由呼吸。The second floor is dominated by outdoor clothing and BrandHelinox, while the third floor is dominated by tea breaks.Each floor is connected to the outdoor terrace, allowingpeople to breathe freely whenever and wherever they want.

BACKROAD，连接城市与自然的“乡野之路”。入口处的草坪，连接各裙楼的通道，顶楼夕阳下的露台，在这里我们尽情地连接自然，为城市中的人们随时随处打造户外氛围。搭起天幕，布上桌椅，蓝天白云下，和风日晒。BACKROAD, a “rural road” connecting the city and nature. Thelawn at the entrance, the passageway connecting the podium,and the terrace on the top floor under the sunset, here weconnect nature to our heart’s content and create an outdooratmosphere for people in the city anytime and anywhere. Putup the canopy, lay out the table and chair, blue sky andwhite clouds, wind and sunshine all surround.
