Bō, - wave - in Mandarin, evokes a fluid universe built around water and mist to evoke the steam escaping from the central kitchen. Nestled within the Diamond building, Bō Restaurant offers a strategic position by being both street-facing and being an obvious destination at show exits. The restaurant offers contemporary cuisine inspired by the Asian Moussons, a meeting between Quebec's local products and umami flavor, between tradition and modernity.

From the entrance, a pathway links the street to the theater, creating a kitchen area and a convivial dining area on either side. The idea of the open bar was born from the desire to share the culinary experience with customers. About twenty people can sit there and all of them can observe the final assembly of the plates and the know-how of the mixologists. Around it, we found a variety of seating: curved banquettes, large group tables, counter height tables, and intimate tables for two.

Designed in a rounded way, the project embodies the curves of the "B" to express Bō’s brand and its Asian cuisine. The layouts, sublimated by the vaporous canopy, offer a "blind tiger" atmosphere where every seat makes you want to try it. The veils come down along the glass walls of Le Diamant creating as a screen of intimacy. The lighting atmosphere seeks to replicate a cloudy, almost mystical environment, with the custom lighting fixture surrounding the bar, pendant lights and ceiling projections. If you look up, the white veils come to life under the play of shadows created by the projectors.

We find in the textiles and materials marine blues and black masts that generate a mellow and elegant atmosphere. These deep shades contrast with the clarity of the waves and the lightness of the floating light fixtures that recall rice paper. The wood effect floor finishes and the exposed wooden banquettes bring a simple and authentic side that balances the declination of the gilding present in all the details of the project (light fixtures, counters, furniture, etc.). The rippling of the water and the amplitude of its movements are suggested by the curves of the walls and seats, the wavy wall coverings, the arches and the vaporous ceiling which sublimates the whole place.

Bō offers a sensorial venture into a hedonistic atmosphere, a suave, enveloping, almost captivating atmosphere, that will take people out of their daily lives and transport them into an immersive experience.
