The design for a new Après-ski is located in Obereggen, Italy, the same location where PPA realized their widely recognized Oberholz mountain hut.
The project consists of three wings gradually fading into a central structural tree surrounded by the bar. An “inner skin” consisting of a shingle-like geometry with micro-perforated wooden panels ensures optimal acoustics and gives the interior a special elegance. Skylights in the roof structure allow filtered daylight in the bar area. The lounge area faces a glass façade to allow magnificent views of the valley during sunsets.
