缘起与场地 Origin andvenue

1929年，民族实业家周苍柏自费在武汉东湖西岸兴建了“海光农圃”，1950年，他主动将“海光农圃”无偿捐献给国家，这就是东湖风景区的前身。周苍柏因而被誉为“东湖之父”。In 1929, ethnic industrialist Zhou Cangbai built the“Haiguang Farm” on the west bank of Wuhan’s EastLake at his own expense, and in 1950, he took theinitiative to donate the “Haiguang Farm” to thestate free of charge, which is the predecessor ofthe East Lake Scenic Area. Zhou Cangbai is thereforeknown as the “father of East Lake”.

周苍柏的大女儿、著名歌唱家周小燕是享誉世界的“中国夜莺”，她还有一个让武汉人听起来更亲切的名字——东湖的女儿。周小燕二弟周德佑更是一位爱国志士；抗战期间，年仅19岁的他为国捐躯。德佑剧场即是为纪念周德佑而建。Zhou Cangbai’s eldest daughter, the famous singerZhou Xiaoyan, is the world-famous “ChineseNightingale”, and she also has a name that makesWuhan people sound more affectionate – the daughterof Donghu. Zhou Xiaoyan’s second brother, ZhouDeyou, is a patriot; During the Anti-Japanese War,at the age of 19, he sacrificed his life for thecountry. The Deyou Theater was built to commemorateZhou Deyou.

从二环线省博物馆旁边的黄鹂路进来，梧桐树遮天蔽日，沿着听涛景区狭窄的车行道开进景区，沿路均是高达二十几米的大树，快行至东湖边时，瞄见一厚重石牌坊，上书“海光农圃”四个浑厚大字。继续前行，在道路尽端右侧，会发现一草坪露天剧场。这个露天剧场就是德佑剧场，周遭的香樟树树龄多是几十年以上，树冠遮天蔽日，在露天剧场这里形成一个眼睛形状的开口。Entering from the Huangli Road next to the ProvincialMuseum of the Second Ring Road, the plane treescover the sky, drive along the narrow roadway intothe Tingtao Scenic Area, along the road are largetrees more than 20 meters high, when you quicklyreach the East Lake, you see a heavy stone archway,and the four thick characters of “Haiguang Farm” arewritten on it. Continue on, and on the right side ofthe end of the road, you will find a lawnamphitheater. This open-air theater is the DeyouTheater, and the surrounding camphor trees are morethan a few decades old, and the canopy shades thesky, forming an eye-shaped opening here in theopen-air theater.

这个“眼睛”形状的开口，本是植物围合出的自然空间，却具有建筑空间的神性：站在用地中间，抬头仰望树冠封闭成的开口，光线从开口中倾泄下来，所以设计思考不应该让新的设计破坏这个感觉，而是要让新植入的构筑物去强化和呼应场地的这个形态，于是在贴着场地高大树木的外延，弯出一道弧线，这个弧形长廊的总体形态如同一个音乐符号。随着弧线向舞台方向行进，它的宽度逐渐变宽，高度在逐渐升高，在舞台上方自然形成了一个宽大的台口形象，并在最高点用螺旋楼梯盘旋而下，这是一篇华丽乐章的尾篇。为了强化这个音乐的隐喻，把弧形长廊外侧的装饰杆件做成高高低低的形态，形成类似音响显示屏表面的节奏起伏。尤其当夜幕降临，灯光点亮长廊，犹如一圈火把和篝火，照亮了场地。This “eye” shaped opening is a natural space enclosedby plants, but it has the divinity of architecturalspace: standing in the middle of the land, lookingup at the opening closed by the canopy, the lightpours down from the opening, so design thinkingshould not let the new design destroy this feeling,but let the newly implanted structure strengthen andecho the form of the site, so in the extension ofthe tall trees of the site, bend an arc, the overallform of this arc-shaped corridor is like a musicalsymbol. As the arc travels towards the stage, itswidth gradually widens and its height graduallyincreases, naturally forming a wide stage imageabove the stage, and spiraling down with a spiralstaircase at the highest point, which is the end ofa magnificent movement. In order to strengthen thismusical metaphor, the decorative members on theoutside of the curved corridor are made into highand low shapes, forming rhythmic undulations similarto the surface of the audio display. Especially whennight falls, the lights light up the promenade, likea circle of torches and bonfires, illuminating thevenue.

在细节设计上，用白色油漆统一了整个构筑物，与场地的深绿形成了圣洁感的对比；廊桥地面采用灰色MMA颗粒，适应弧线造型。在场地形成三级高差坐凳，环绕舞台布置，强化长廊弧线造型。In terms of detail design, the entire structure isunified with white paint, creating a contrast withthe deep green of the site; The floor of the coveredbridge is made of gray MMA particles, which adapt tothe curved shape. A three-level height differencebench is formed in the venue, which is arrangedaround the stage and strengthens the arc shape ofthe corridor.

建筑摄影项目建成，倏忽一年四季已逝，周边的落叶树，一岁一枯荣；长廊和不同季节的交替景色，都很好的融为一体——这就是景观项目的特色，不仅有空间的三个维度，还有时间的维度——这个维度，是检验项目好坏的最重要的尺度。When the project is completed, the four seasons ofthe year have passed away, and the surroundingdeciduous trees are one year old and one withered;The promenade and the alternating scenery ofdifferent seasons are well integrated – this is thecharacteristic of landscape projects, not only thethree dimensions of space, but also the dimension oftime – this dimension is the most important measureto test the quality of the project.

自然与空间 Nature andspace

钢结构长廊的功能既是舞台，又是看台；既是围合场地必须，又是强化场地形态所需；巧妙的植入，使得长廊如同与树木共同生在于此地；新的设计强化了场地本身的特征，又给与场地原本没有的仪式感。The function of the steel structure corridor is botha stage and a stand; It is not only necessary toenclose the site, but also necessary to strengthenthe form of the site; The ingenious implantationmakes the promenade seem to coexist with the trees;The new design reinforces the character of the venueitself, while giving the venue a sense of ritualthat was not originally present.

建筑摄影高大树木的围合形态，是场地的自然，新的弧形廊架贴合这个自然形态，强化并彰显了自然形成的空间美感；螺旋上升和倾斜向心并围合的造型，则给与了场所仪式感的空间精神，这即是自然与空间的诗学。The enclosed form of tall trees is the nature of thesite, and the new curved gallery frame fits thisnatural form, strengthening and highlighting thenatural spatial beauty; The spiraling andinclinating centripetal and enclosed shapes give thespatial spirit of the place a sense of ritual, whichis the poetics of nature and space.
