画廊位于新公共广场的中心，靠近通向水面的蜿蜒河岸，在连接城市两大自然主体的步行轴线上，对城市结构有着重要的影响。新的应用功能成为深刻尊重地方历史的发展核心。

Situated in thecentral point of the new public square, near the meandering river bank withaccess to the water, on the directpedestrian axis connecting two natural dominants of the city, the gallery has asignificant impact on the urbanstructure. The newly applied function becomes the heart of the developmentprofoundly respecting the local history.

该地区曾经以采矿，冶炼和造币而闻名。于是画廊的造型采用圆形铜片做镀层的垂直柱状体。高大的体量让位于广场，从而将建筑内部与公共空间紧密相连。画廊位于绿地的边缘，像大门一样打开。无障碍屋顶可供游客欣赏周围的风景。

In the past, thearea was known for mining, smelting, and minting. The proposed form follows theidea of vertical shafts plated withround copper facade segments. Elevated volumes give way to the square and thusstrongly connect the interior of thebuilding with the public space. The gallery is situated on the edge of thegreen area, opening it formally like agate. The rooftops are accessible allowing visitors to admire the surrounding landscapes.

圆形展览空间的简洁和微妙放大了艺术品的美感。天窗为展厅提供漫射柔和的光线，展厅由下部房间的侧开口支撑。计划的流体形式允许灵活的功能分布。艺术空间与办公室无缝融合。环形的空间连接自然地塑造了空间之间的过渡。

Simplicity andsubtleness of the circular exhibition spaces magnify the aesthetical capacityof the artworks. The skylights providediffused, soft light to the exhibition rooms, which are supported by the sideopenings in the lower rooms. The fluidform of the plan allows a flexible function distribution. The art spaces areseamlessly merging with the offices.Looped room connections naturally shape the clear transitions between thespaces.

闪闪发光的铜元素凭借其可移动性，为立面提供了动态效果。材料的选择为其增添了生动的个性，并且还会随着时间的增长而改变其特性。

Shimmering, movablecopper elements supply dynamics to the facade. The choice of the material addslively character to it - as materialages change its properties.
