拉贾斯坦学校是一所低矮的三层楼学校,有开放式、封闭式和半封闭式等不同体量的空间,表现了印度村庄和古老城市的有机特征。


Imbibing the organic character of Indian villages& old cities, the Rajasthan School is a low rise 3 level school with open,enclosed and semi-enclosed spaces of various volumes.

考虑到学校所在地的沙漠气候,一年中大部分时间气温超过35°C,每间教室都朝北,获得采光的同时避免直射的阳光。


Taking cognizance of the desert climate of itslocation with temperatures in excess of 35°C for most of the year, each of theclassrooms is north oriented to derive indirect sunlight.

大礼堂、小学和行政空间占据了地块的南侧,向北打开了一个大的有遮挡的开阔地,中学教室、图书馆和食堂就在那里。半遮蔽的庭院有多条棱角分明的小路,将学校的两个部分与景观游戏空间连接起来,以促进学生的互动。


The auditorium, primary school, and administrationspace occupy the southern side of the plot opening into a large sheltered openarea towards the north beyond which the secondary school classrooms, library& cafeteria are located. The semi-sheltered courtyard has multiple angularpathways, connecting the two parts of the school with landscaped play spacesthat foster engagement.

通过一系列线性梯形框架和遮阳板的穿越,这个焦点区域的阴影模式根据一天中太阳的方向不断变化。布局有意将其分割开来,使开放的景观空间与学校的学习空间相互交错。


Traversed by a series of linear trapezoidal framesand sun-breakers, this focal area has a constantly changing shadow patterndepending on the sun's direction throughout the day. The layout isintentionally fragmented allowing open landscaped spaces to be interspersedwith the school’s learning spaces.

整个学校向北侧的多功能操场和田径场开放,整体流线是通过开阔的自然通风走廊,穿越并绕过中心的半遮蔽式景观球场。倾斜的垂直墙体作为阳光的突破口,以减少来自东、西、南三面的热量摄入,产生凉爽的内部空间。


The entire school opens towards a multipurposeplayground & athletics track on the northern side. The entire circulationis through open naturally ventilated corridors traversing & skirting thefocal semi-sheltered landscaped court in the center. Angled vertical walls actas sun breakers to reduce heat gain from the east, west & south sidesgenerating cooler internal spaces.

全部的电力需求来自于附近水泥厂的剩余能源。此外,所有的水都被回收和再利用,因此,该建筑的设计是非常节能的。


The complete electrical power requirement isgenerated by the residual energy of a cement plant nearby. In addition, theentire water is recycled & reused. The building by its design is thusextremely energy efficient.

有机的布局为学校的每个部分创造了不同的特征,以不同的视角和不同的感知为每个空间定位。拉贾斯坦邦学校的特色来自于有机的老城区,非正式的布局,穿插的开放和封闭的体量,设计应对炎热的气候,创造了一个具有多种探索方式的学校。


The organic layout creates a different character toeach part of the school orienting each space with different views &different perceptions. The Rajasthan School derives its character from theorganic old cities, with an informal layout, interspersed open & enclosedvolumes, designed in response to the hot climate, creating a school that isexploratory in multiple ways.
