我们在武汉严西湖畔遇到了一片原始的风景，离市中心距离20公里,刚好是一处近郊避世之所。政府规划在此设置滨湖公园，以服务周边社区居民使用。其基底与城市中大多数湖泊风景不同，此处更像是未被发现的秘密之地，野生而诗意，隐秘而优雅。

We encountered an original landscape by theYanxi Lake in Wuhan City, 20 kilometers away from the city center, whichhappened to be a suburban escape. The government plans to build a lakeside parkhere to serve the residents of the surrounding community. Its base is differentfrom most lake scenery in the city, it is more like an undiscovered secretplace, wild and poetic, secret and elegant.

由于现状自然资源丰茂，场地状况复杂，为了寻求最适合场地的设计方法，项目团队多次去往现场勘探，而每一次都会被场地端头的一片原生湿地所吸引。湿地连着湖水，一眼望不到边，水中的大树更是生的孤独且坚韧，粗壮的枝干交相呼应，向上攀升，与湖水结合，形成一幅完美的风景画卷。这场景让我们想起了许多19世纪末期的印象派画作。

Due to the abundant natural resources andcomplex site conditions, our project team went to the site for exploration manytimes in order to find the most suitable design method for the site, and eachtime they were attracted by a native wetland at the end of the site. Thewetland is connected to the lake, and the edge cannot be seen. The big trees inthe water are even more lonely and tough. The thick branches echo each other,climb upwards, and combine with the lake to form a perfect landscape painting.This scene reminds us of many Impressionist paintings of the late 19th century.

面对这幅“画作”，我们希望人们在与之为伴、远眺欣赏的同时，还能够进入画中成为它的一部分，由赏画的人变为入画的人。于是我们以湿地为中心，依现状竖向关系，将场地划分成不同的空间体验：望与沉浸。希望从不同维度感受这片土地。

Facing this "painting", we hopethat people can enter into the painting and become a part of it while watchingand appreciating it from a distance. So we make the wetland as the center anddivide the site into different spatial experiences according to the currentvertical relationship: gazing and immersion. We hope people can experience thisland from different dimensions.

沉浸Immersion

漫步于湿地之岸，人不知不觉就进入了“画作”中。面对成片的荷叶、成组的林带还有那连绵的湿地，作为画中人，我只想走进去，再走出来。沉浸在其中发发呆什么的，就是对这片自然最好的尊重。对于其它，自然已将一切填充的恰好。对于这片风景，我们决定用最少的干预来介入场地。在游览湖边的时候，灵光乍现于湿地中的荷叶。荷叶轻盈而优雅，我们的思考便顺着荷叶延展，就好似画中人摘几朵宽荷叶，随意洒在湖中，散落成几处漂浮平台。轻踏台上小坐，惬意十分。但又想再撑两片荷叶以遮阳挡雨，荷叶微卷，飘叠其上，即为“荷叶”。如此这般，荷叶与场地间“以小见大”，成为了链接人工与自然的线索。经过梳理后的湿地空间，以两个荷叶装置与几组荷叶浮台作为主要的功能场地，并以栈道链接，最大限度的保留了现场的自然风貌。

Walking down the platform and strolling on the shore of the wetland, we enter the "painting" unconsciously. Facing the lotus leaves, the forest belts and the continuous wetlands, as the one in the painting, we just want to go in and come out. Being immersed in it and just dazed is the best respect for this land. And everything is naturally filled well.For this landscape, we decided to designwith minimal intervention. When visiting the lake, the inspiration came fromthe lotus leaves in the wetlands. The lotus leaf is light and elegant, and ourthinking extends along the lotus leaf, just like the person in the paintingpicks a few wide lotus leaves and sprinkles them in the lake at will, scatteredinto several floating platforms. It is very comfortable to sit on the platformlightly. But two more lotus leaves need and protect from the sun and rain. Inthis way, the "from the big scene to small" between the lotus leafand the site has become a clue linking the artificial and the natural. Aftersorting out the wetland space, two lotus leaf installations and several groupsof leaf floating platforms are used as the main functional venues, and arelinked by plank roads to preserve the natural features of the site to thegreatest extent.

两组“荷叶”以自然的空间形态卧于湖畔，其开口面对向最佳的风景视野。为了使安装过程不影响周边的自然环境，装置以钢结构为主框架，在工厂中预制生产后，分段运输至现场拼装。整体饰面用窄木条拼接而成，以柔和温暖的空间质感融入场地。

The two groups of "lotus leaves"lie on the lakeside in a natural spatial form, with their openings facing thebest view of the landscape. In order to ensure that the installation processdoes not affect the surrounding natural environment, the device uses a steelstructure as the main frame, which is prefabricated in the factory and thentransported to the site for assembly. The overall finish is spliced with narrowwooden strips, blending into the site with a soft and warm spatial texture.

荷叶”与树林之间的关系或开阔舒展，或婉转迂回，形成了丰富的空间表情。

The relationship between the "lotusleaf" and the woods is either open and stretched, or tactfully detoured,forming a rich spatial expression.

荷叶”与湿地之间互为风景，其边界形成了可以瞭望的景框，就像古园的景窗，存意而不刻意。

The "lotus leaf" and the wetlandare mutually scenic, and the boundary forms a frame that can be viewed, justlike the scenic window of the ancient garden, casually but not deliberately.

望Gazing

站在这幅画作的最佳观景点，感慨大自然的画笔之妙，于是再此设置瞭望点，取名“观湖画室”。画室呈横向展开，指向湖心，与湖面建立起紧密的视野链接。画室的底部半嵌入坡地中，而顶部则漂浮空中，形成强烈的空间对比。

Standing at the best viewing point, feelingthe beauty of nature's brush, so we set up a lookout point here and named it"Studio glazing at the lake". The studio is spread out horizontally,pointing to the center of the lake, establishing a close visual link with thelake. The bottom of the studio is half embedded in the slope, while the topfloats forming a strong spatial contrast.

湖与画室之间，“以大见小”，在某一霎那间，似乎所有的湖岸风景均可以被收纳其中。

Between the lake and the studio, "fromthe big scene to small room", it seems that all the lakeside scenery canbe put in it at some moment.

拾阶而下便来到不同标高上的画作平台，有的隐于林中，有的凌于水面，与画室一起，形成了供居民欣赏风景、户外采风的公共空间。

Walking down the steps to the platforms atdifferent elevations, some hidden in the forest, some above the water, togetherwith the studio, forming a public space for residents to enjoy the sceneryoutdoors.

再向远处探寻，当路径丢掉边界，当斑驳的树影变得稀疏，忽而湖面的波光扑面而来，严西湖豁然呈现，景观褪去……

Looking further into the distance, when thepath loses its boundary, when the mottled tree shadows become sparse, andsuddenly the waves of the lake come to the surface, Yanxi Lake suddenly comesout, and the landscape fades...

我们这次在严西湖畔的低干预尝试，有感于现场的自然资源。通过在地性的延展、环境的细节、装置的尺度以及小气候的营造，让人在学习自然的同时，又能对环境最大的尊重。虽然场地展示的景观范围只是整体湖岸绿地中的一小部分，但希望这次实践可以成为一粒种子，在此地生根发芽，并向周边蔓延，为严西湖畔未来的整体公园营造带来更多的可能。

Our low-intervention attempt at Yanxi Lakethis time is inspired by the natural resources on site. Through the extensionof the locality, the details of the environment, the scale of the installationand the creation of a microclimate, people can learn the nature while havingthe greatest respect for the environment. Although the landscape scopedisplayed on the site is only a small part of the overall lakeside green space,we hope that this practice can become a seed that will take root here andspread to the surrounding area, bringing more possibility to the constructionof the overall park by the Yanxi Lake in the future.
