After Indeed’s Scottsdale office had tripled in size over the course of a year, they desired to expand their sales team into a larger location in the Galleria. The Galleria Corporate Centre delivers a pro-business culture, energetic environment and scores of amenities within walking distance—all which speak to the young and spirited culture of the company. Indeed’s goal was to capture the local flair of Arizona, while also providing an energetic and tailored work environment for its employees. The Galleria, formerly a shopping mall, gives the office a unique layout with large windows and abundant natural light flooding through skylights.
Focusing on the young and energetic culture of the company, Corgan aimed to design a space that could keep up with the young talent pouring in with a workspace packed with amenities such as a large café fully stocked with beverages and snacks, beer and cold brew on tap and a fitness center complete with showers, a wellness room and a designated meditation room. The grand corridor is flooded with natural light courtesy of an existing curved skylight and is utilized for informal mingling and meeting while centrally connecting office neighborhoods with shared amenities such as the Town Hall and game room. The common break area is spacious with a hospitable feel, including comfortable sofas, shuffleboard and ping pong. Each open office neighborhood is supported by a variety of meeting rooms and open lounge collaboration spaces, each utilizing intuitive wayfinding through glass decals and wall graphics reminiscent of the surrounding desert. The variety of meeting room types gives employees ultimate control in how they choose to work. As a nod to the arid climate, warm earth tones and materials were used such as core-10 steel, soft oak veneer, and rich tones of acoustical felt wall coverings. The materiality accompanied by an array of desert plants further embraces the surrounding geography leaving Indeed Scottsdale with a space that feels much more Arizona resort, than a tech office.
