Awhole set of spatial extension and transmutationlaws are constructed, stretching from outside toinside and from bottom to top. The connotation of“reset” in space refers not only to the emphasis andimplication of “this is the second store of craftbrew bar brand MEDISN”, but also to the possibilityof initiating new spatial connections regardless ofthe time and space: community, coffee, craft brew,music, vision, TATTOO, exhibition, culture, etc.▼项目概览,Preview©形在空间摄影 | 贺川01.初见,整体秩序的构建 Constructingoverall order at first sight作为药厂MEDISN的第二家店,空间选址于成都锦江区D10天府商业街区一个弧形拐角处,与种满梧桐与银杏的宏济巷毗邻,兼具市井烟火与都市街景的混合样貌。入口的处理,有意识地强调空间的社区属性,使得空间与周遭环境形成紧密的嵌入关系,并在内部空间与外摆区域以及城市的街道之间,营造出一种明显的张力。街道和外摆区之间没有明确的物理分隔,使得这处空间成为城市公共领域的延伸,一处由社区街道向空间过渡的引导区域。尤其在夏季,当6扇折屏玻璃门全部被打开时,这种过渡显得更为亲切自然。The second store of Yaochang MEDISN, located at acurved corner of D10 Tianfu Commercial Street inChengdu’s Jinjiang District and adjacent to HongjiLane fully covered with paulownia and ginkgoes, is amix of routine hustle and bustle and urbanlandscape.Special attention is paid to the community attributesof the space in the design of the entrance,rendering space closely embedded with thesurrounding environment and building up prominenttension between the interior space, the externalarea and the city street. There is no clear physicalseparation between the street and the external area,making this space an extension of the urban publicdomain and a guiding area serving as the transitionfrom community street to space. Such transition isespecially intimate and natural in the summer whenall the six foldable glass doors are open.▼外摆区,Outdoor seating©形在空间摄影 | 贺川▼门店外观,Exterior view©形在空间摄影 | 贺川由亲和随性的外摆区域,向稍显格调的内部空间延伸的过程,也是空间业态从咖啡向酒过渡的自然过程。尽管内部空间依旧保持着半开放的姿态,但其场所的独特性格却首先得益于接近6米的原始建筑层高表现。在这里,垂直方向上的空间张力与水平方向上的边界渗透力相互作用,构建着具体而强烈的在场感。The process of extending from the intimate and casualexterior area to the slightly high-profile interiorspace is also a natural process of transitioningfrom coffee to wine.Although the interior space remains semi-open, theuniqueness of the place is in the first placemanifested in the six-meter-high original building,where the vertical spatial tension interacts withthe horizontal boundary permeability, establishing aconcrete and intense presence.▼沿街通高空间,The full-height space along thestreet©形在空间摄影 | 贺川大量自然的光线,在日间通过占据整个外立弧面的连续玻璃门,进入空间,在反射与漫反射的作用下,空间呈现出一种细腻的灰度状态。作为静态语言的空间体块在空间内部边界延伸,沉默且夯实,滋生起一种调和了前工业时代的严谨与直率,但又真实地关联于人与物质世界的精神感觉。Substantial natural light pours into the space duringdaytime through the continuous glass doors thatoccupy the entire arc facade, taking on a delicategrayness under light reflection and diffusereflection. As a static language, the spatial block,silent and solid, extends across the internalboundary of the space, bringing about a spiritualfeeling that reconciles the rigor andstraightforwardness of the pre-industrial era andtruly correlates with the human and material world.▼精酿吧台,Craft beer area©形在空间摄影 | 贺川这里悄悄隐藏着一种致力于将简化作为艺术蜕变的结果,不易被察觉,但进入空间的人能明确感受到视觉感知在这里被一种更能唤起知觉力量的触觉所替代,空间的序列、层次、肌理、质感,成为“肌肤之目”中所谓的对象物,物质与意识从对立面走向了统一。There lies a hidden and imperceptible commitment tosimplification as a result of artisticmetamorphosis. However, upon entering a space onecan clearly sense the replacement of visualperception by a sense of touch that evokes moreperceptual power. The sequence, layers, texture andquality of space become the so-called objects of“The Eyes of the Skin “, where matter andconsciousness move from opposition to unity.▼吧台座位区,Bar seating area©形在空间摄影 | 贺川▼座位细节,Detailed view©形在空间摄影 | 贺川02.探索,酒神精神的序列 Exploring thesequence of Dionysian spirit在这个雕塑感强烈的、有着通高天花板的空间内,空间的尺度关系从一般经验中被放大,为了增强这种大尺度的戏剧体验,设计上利用垂直空高的优势,将酒类陈列于室内视觉的开放区,形成一个立体的、矩阵式结构的6米高玻璃酒房。人在酒房的状态,既体现为一种对空间尺度的丈量,也暗合着一种对酒精烈度的丈量。The scale relation is magnified from generalexperience in the space with high ceilings and astrong sense of sculpture. To reinforce the dramaticlarge-scale experience, the advantages of verticalheight are used in the design. A three-dimensionalsix-meter-high matrix-structured glass wine room isformed by displacing wines in the visually openinterior area. A measurement of spatial scale andalcohol intensity is emanated when people are in theglass wine room.▼通高玻璃酒柜,The full-heightwine cabinet©形在空间摄影 | 贺川▼墙壁细节,Wall detailed view©形在空间摄影 | 贺川尺度作用于人在空间中的体验,除了有意的放大,也通常体现为不经意之间猛烈的收缩或压低。在经过一定的感官压抑过后,空间的张弛与弹性才有可能更准确地传递出来,它赋予空间感知以变化,这种变化构成了空间的褶皱,成为空间功能的重要组成。In addition to intentional amplification, the effectof scale on human experience in space is usuallyinadvertently reflected in drastic contraction ordepression. The tension and elasticity of space canbe more accurately transmitted after undergoing acertain degree of sensory depression, which endowsspatial perception with change. The changeconstitutes the folds of space and becomes acritical component of spatial function.▼酒房座位区,Wine room seating area©形在空间摄影 | 贺川如空间内侧窄小逼仄、沿着夹缝上升的楼梯,以及通过楼梯、穿过玻璃酒房才能抵达夹层。这些自带某种局限的空间体验,反而为空间提供了多样多元的场景,丰富了空间的层次感,并使得空间尺度再一次得到强调。The intrinsic limited spatial experiences, such asthe staircase on the inner side of the space thatrises along the crevice and making it to themezzanine by climbing the staircase and crossing theglass wine room, provide the space with diversescenarios, enrich the layering of space, andaccentuating the spatial scale once again.▼夹层,The mezzanine©形在空间摄影 | 贺川▼夹层座位区,Seating area on themezzaninefloor©形在空间摄影 | 贺川通过向上探索,一切空间细节在近距离的身体经验中慢慢向外展开:墙面由有着细腻质感的水泥板拼缀而成,圆形的孔洞元素开始连续地进入视野,夹层外侧的弧面水泥栏杆平衡着空间的硬朗,顶面裸露的混凝土梁柱结构以及金属管线提供了一种既有的真实,而天花板上巨大的圆形天窗则成为重要的视觉节点,宣誓着某种纯粹抽象的图景。By exploring upward, all the spatial details slowlyunfold outward under close physical experience: thewalls are decorated with finely textured concretepanels; the circular hole elements begin tocontinuously hop into the view; the curved concreterailing on the outside of the mezzanine balances thetoughness of the space; the exposed concrete beamstructure and metal pipes on the top surface giveaway an existing reality; and the enormous circularskylight on the ceiling becomes an important visualnode, disclosing some purely abstract pictures.▼楼梯间,Staircase©形在空间摄影 | 贺川于是,空间在一系列连贯的图像与感知体系中,将顶部、横梁、立面、楼梯等复杂性统一进空间序列,实现空间多维的层次感以及各层次之间的丰富性。Therefore, the space unifies the complexity of thetop, beams, facade and staircase into a spatialsequence in a series of coherent images andperceptual systems, achieving a multi-dimensionallayering of space and richness between the layers.▼室内材料细节,Interior detailed view©形在空间摄影 | 贺川03.召唤,偏执又独立的艺术现场 Summoning paranoidand independent art scene复合空间的能量是巨大的。MEDISN一以贯之地致力于将酒精体验与视觉艺术体验统一进同一种情绪氛围之中,主理人们甚至曾半开玩笑半认真的把咖啡、酒精、TATTOO的融合,归结为某种共通的“上瘾”综合症。这大大扩张了MEDISN所能触及的边界,增加了空间的独立性与厂牌效应,艺术展厅与现场的部分作为酒吧的上层空间,也因此成为了一处应许之地,一个实然而应然的存在。The energy of composite space is enormous.MEDISN has been committed to integrating alcoholicexperience and visual art experience into theemotional atmosphere. The directors have evenhalf-jokingly attributed the fusion of coffee,alcohol and TATTOO to certain common “addiction”syndrome. This has greatly expanded the boundary ofMEDISN and increased the independence of the spaceand the brand effect. As the upper space of the bar,the art gallery and the on-site area thus become apromised land and a real and deserved presence.▼楼上的艺术空间和刺青工作室©形在空间摄影 | 贺川Art space and tattoostudio on the upper floor上层的艺术空间与一楼一样,拥有着同样不受限的层高,非常适合承载一些品味小众的高质量展览。与此同时,为了增加空间的层次感,同样在角落隔出一个相对低矮的夹层空间,作为FORESEER独立且隐秘的工作室。而事实上,运用于MEDISN空间内部的大量视觉艺术,均出自于这个聚焦于刺青艺术的FORESEER工作室,也因此被称作为MEDISN的灵魂。Like the first floor, the upper art space is notconfined to height and is thus ideal forhigh-quality niche exhibitions. At the same time, toincrease the layering of space, a relatively lowmezzanine has been created in the corner and is usedas a separate and secluded studio for FORESEER. Infact, a lot of the visual art employed in theinterior of MEDISN comes from FORESEER studio, whichfocuses on the art of tattooing and is thereforeregarded as the soul of MEDISN.▼艺术空间,Art space©形在空间摄影 | 贺川▼室内细节,Interior detailed view©形在空间摄影 | 贺川一层顶部的圆形天窗,在二层是另一种体验。整个巨大的圆形开口围绕着一层的主营业空间,链接一二层之间的互动意象,同时也形成视觉焦点。梁与圆洞之间的两层灯光系统,使得巨大的圆洞覆盖于裸露的混凝土十字梁之上而显得更加突出。Viewing on the second floor the circular skylight onthe top of the first floor brings a differentexperience. The entire huge open circle encompassesthe main business space on the first floor, linksthe interactive imagery between the first and secondfloors, and forms a visual focal point. Thetwo-layer lighting system between the beams and thecircular holes makes the huge circular holes standout by covering the exposed concrete cross beams.▼巨大的圆形开口链接两个楼层,The huge circular opening links theinteractive imagery between the floors©形在空间摄影 | 贺川艺术的魅力在于自我的剥离与疼痛的嵌入。这个内嵌于水泥梁柱之间的巨型玻璃圆洞,既充当了空间视觉在上下关系中回来穿透的路径,也成为了作用于酒精与刺青之间剥离与疼痛的象征。The beauty of art lies in the stripping of self andthe embedding of pain. This giant glass holeembedded between the concrete beams and columns actsas not only a path for spatial vision penetration inthe upper and lower relationship but also a symbolof the stripping and pain between alcohol andtattoo.▼室内细节,Interior view©形在空间摄影 | 贺川04.沉醉,潮汐般的昼夜节律 Indulging in tidalcircadian rhythm白日饮酒的氛围是清醒之中的自在,是阳光、市井、树荫、轻调音乐下的自我陪伴。空间也因此而显得相对明朗、硬质、清晰,似乎在温厚亲和的社交属性表层之下,空间更鼓励一种能够在人群之中独处的忧郁气质。而夜晚,灯光与音乐升起,打破了白日硬朗的严肃主义者风格,成为情绪的发酵器,上瘾者的工业乌托邦。Drinking during the daytime with the company ofsunshine, routine hustle and bustle, shade andlight-hearted music brings sobering carefreeness.The space thus appears fairly bright, hard andclear, as if the space is more supportive of alonely melancholic temperament in the midst of acrowd under the disguise of warm and affable socialattributes.When night falls, the daytime rigid seriousist styleis smashed by light and music and gives way tosimmering emotions and an industrial utopia foraddicts.▼夜晚灯光效果,Lighting effect at night©形在空间摄影 | 贺川干净、克制的灰色水泥墙面,一改白日的沉默气质,成为空间视觉艺术无处不在的载体,为艺术氛围的表现发挥着空间整体性与适应性的作用,充当了画布与容器的双重功能。因此,整个空间也有了而比白日的状态更能够向后退让的可能。将内部空间全部让出,只在边界上进行考量,但物理的硬边界不可避免地被作为视觉边界的黑暗所替代,只能任由弥漫地光线在物质空间的表面游走,直到抵达光线的深幽处。The silent temperament of daytime disappears as theclean, restrained gray cement walls become theubiquitous carrier of visual art in the space,playing the role of spatial integrity andadaptability for the expression of artisticatmosphere and acting as both canvas and container.Consequently, the whole space is given thepossibility to be more compromising than the daytimestatus. The entire internal space but the boundaryis handed over, with the physical boundaryinevitably replaced by the darkness that serves as avisual boundary. Diffusing light makes the roundsacross the surface of the material space anddisappears into the darkness.▼一层主营业空间夜景,Bar area at night©形在空间摄影 | 贺川连续的混凝土表面,简洁而富于韵律的窗洞开口,在光线的映射下,使空间漂浮起来,有了进入未来或无垠宇宙的可能。通过不同时段的分隔,空间实现了有如生物拥有昼夜节律一般的动静交替状态。它在夜间生长,在白日沉静。在两种截然相反的两个方向上,物质与意识均可以找到各自的节奏尽情展开,并最终衍化为一种精神共同体,被人的参与所催化、所感知、所沉湎。The continuous concrete surface and simplistic andrhythmic openings seem to make the space afloat,bringing the possibility of entering the future orthe infinite universe.Thanks to the splitting of different time periods,the space, like living creatures with circadianrhythms, achieves an alternating static and dynamicstate, growing at night and staying static duringthe day. Matter and consciousness find their rhythmsin two opposite directions, extend unfetteredly andeventually diffuse into a spiritual community, whichis catalyzed, perceived and indulged by humanparticipation.▼酒房夜景,Wine room night view©形在空间摄影 | 贺川夜晚来临,当沉睡的酒神精神在空间的序列之下被唤醒,空间便不再是一个有着物质实体的空间,而变成了一个场,一个感知的黑洞。这时,空间的最大贡献便是在于对秩序的巩固。When night falls and the sleeping Dionysian spirit isawakened under the sequence of space, space ceasesto be a space with material entities and turns intoa field and a black hole of perception. At thispoint, the greatest contribution of space is theconsolidation of order.▼艺术空间夜景,Art space night view©形在空间摄影 | 贺川而一楼的主营区域内,此起彼伏的灯光以最大的鲜亮程度释放着情绪,酒精与音乐的悬浮物以浪潮涌动的方式弥散在整个空间之中,浸润着每一个孤独又有趣的灵魂。在这里,拒绝一切外在形式的讨巧,没有扁平化的视觉,没有廉价的质感,没有急功近利的表达,只有体验,以及体验所带来的沉醉。And in the main business area on the first floor,wavering light exudes emotions with maximumbrightness and alcohol and music waves throughoutthe whole space, infiltrating every lonely andinteresting soul. All external forms of coquetry arerejected here.
